University of Ottawa
Here are the University of Ottawa Home Page and Employee Directory.
The Human Resources website has a section devoted to information for retirees. Benefits available to retirees are listed, including life and health insurance benefit information.

Retiree Associations
Administrative Staff Retiree Association (ASRA)
The APRUO works closely with ASRA, which represents retired administrative and support staff at the University of Ottawa. News and information on the ASRA website may also be of interest to APRUO members.
Retired Teachers of Ontario (RTO)
APRUO members are entitled to join the Retired Teachers of Ontario, which offers resources for retirees, including an extended health and travel insurance plan.
College and University Retiree Associations of Canada (CURAC)
For details about CURAC, of which the APRUO is an active member, and the services CURAC offers. The CURAC/ARUCC website is not yet bilingual, though its Newsletter, meeting announcements, and some other documents are.
Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP)
The stated mission of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons is to promote and protect the interests, rights and quality of life of Canadians as we age, through advocacy, benefit offers, and the promotion of community. CARP is a unilingual association (English).
Resources and Services for Seniors
Travel and Health Insurance
- MEDOC Travel Insurance (a subsidiary of Johnson Insurance) for CURAC member associations.
- CURAC sponsors a number of insurance options, including travel insurance, as well as travel planning. For details see the Member Benefits page on the CURAC website.
