Visit to Vanier Sugarbush, 4 April 2025
The Association of Retired professors is pleased to invite you to a breakfast social on Friday April 4 at 10 am at North America’s Only Urban Sugar Shack. A meal will be served at a cost of 25$ to be paid on site before or after the meal. Participants can choose a meat menu or a vegetarian option.
Less than 5 km from downtown Ottawa, the Vanier Sugar Shack is the only operating sugar shack in an urban setting in North America. Located in a 17.5-acre sugar bush in the heart of the nation’s capital, the Vanier Museopark keeps the tradition of maple syrup production alive, a tradition established in Vanier by the White Fathers circa 1940.
